México Day 6 : Oaxaca

On day 6, I took the plane to Oaxaca capital, visiting an old friend who lived in the same house as I did in Puebla. He's the sweetest, look at my welcome gift ♥

While strolling in the city centre, we saw a bridal party going on in the streets! It was the coolest thing ever, I wish I could have such a wedding: the colors, the dancing... ♥

We went shopping and at one shop, the cutest little girl ever was trying to sell me a blouse. Ofcourse I bought a ton of stuff, I couldn't resist that face :D

Oaxaca has the most amazing churches!

I'm such a sucker for Mexican art, skulls are everywhere ♥

And if there's one thing I love, it's mexicanos with sombreros. It's my weak spot, what can I say...

México Day 5 : Puebla

Time flies when I'm in Mexico and for my last day in Puebla, I had to go out in Cholula, the place to be for a good Mexican party! Ofcourse I went with my usual party crew and as always, I had the time of my life. Seeing these photos again, makes me smile big time! What a crazy night it was ♥

México Day 4 : Puebla

Day 4 meant only one thing! Homeward bound, to Puebla ♥

I stayed in the house of my jarocho ;) God only knows how much I missed him this couple of years!

Although I apreciate every city that I got to know in Mexico, Puebla will always be the prettiest ♥

Despite what other Mexicans say, I love my pipopes

My favorite thing to do in Puebla (not counting the amazing parties ofcourse)? Hanging around at the Zócalo and enjoying the amazing food there ♥

México Day 3 : Pachuca

Time flies when you're in Mexico. Day 3 also meant my last day spent in Pachuca, before heading to my real Mexican home : Puebla ♥

My friend and I went to my favorite spot in Pachuca to grab some heavenly bagels and paprika french fries ♥

After that I went to visit a family that will always have a special spot in my heart. I totally fell in love with their new dog :)

We went seeing El Reloj for the last time. This supposedly is a replica of the Big Ben, since Pachuca is an English colony... But I'm not buying it, I think the Pachuqueños just made this up hahaha

México Day 2 : Pachuca + Real del Monte

On day 2 I left Mexico City for my beloved Pachuca, Hidalgo. Hidalgo is one of my favorite states, I feel so at home here... We went to Real del Monte, a little town whose specialty is my favorite Mexican food : pastes! ♥

I had to do my very best to not adopt this cutie ♥

With my dearest friend Jays. Actually she was my first Mexican friend ♥

Real del Monte was actually an old English mine village back in the days. Nowadays, the mine is abandoned, which gives the place a creepy feeling...

Pachuca by night ♥

Mexico Day 1 : DF - Mexico City

So my first destination in Mexico was Ciudad de México, Mexico City. I stayed at my friend's house for the weekend...

Mexico never ceases to surprise me: a tree in the middle of the road, like a boss! :D

The day started perfectly. The family of my friend took me to Vips for breakfast, where I finally ate my favorite waffles again ♥

I'm so obsessed with piñatas, I can't believe I've never had one on my birthday(yes, this is a hint)

Then we went for my fav: tacos al pastor

We went strolling in my favorite neighborhood in Mexico City : Coyoacán. They were prepping everything for Christmas ♥

Me and my friend!

Coyoacán, home place of Frida Kahlo ♥

I ofcourse had to eat my favorite: paleta de maracuyá ♥ I'm so obsessed with them that my Mexican friends call me Loreta paleta :)

And the perfect day asked for the perfect end : Palomitas con salsa de valentina! It's impossible to be on a diet in Mexico!
