Lucía y el sexo

This movie is a classic of Spanish Cinema. It took me a while to see it, and I'm happy for that. It's a very complex movie and the older you are, the better you get it. Or that's my opinion, at least.
The protagonist, Paz Vega, embodies the image I have of the sensual, Spanish woman perfectly. If you're a sucker for Spanish movies, you gotta see this one!

Machine Gun Preacher

In Machine Gun Preacher, Gerard Butler plays a man with a bad history, changing for the good. By coincidence, he goes to Africa in order to better his life. All the cruelty he sees there changes him for good, and he decides to help the weakest : the children. I like the fact that the movie shows us how thin the line is between being good and bad. When is it allowed to use violence? The greatest thing about this movie is that it's actually based on an existing person, who is still in Africa, delivering a constant battle to keep the little ones safe.

Big props to Gerard Butler, who does a great job showing the difficulty to stay on the right track. I was also pleasantly surprised to see Michelle Monaghan, she's a favorite of mine since The Heartbreak Kid and Made of Honor!

Paris is always a good idea

It already seems ages ago, but I went to Paris in March! My partner in crime? My sweet mom ♥

What's a better way to start a Paris trip than with a selfie?!

We ate waffles with chocolate sauce as breakfast #woops

Paris is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities of the world: the amazing architecture, the chique shops, the macarons... ♥

I was wearing : sunnies: RayBan // Scarf: Alexander McQueen // Bag: Mulberry // blazer: H&M // Sweater: Primark // Shoes: AllStars

Even hamburgers look chiquer in Paris ♥

And ofcourse we shopped. A lot.

Chanel does the best wrapping ♥

A must when in France? Eating the divine moeulleux au chocolat ♥

In love with my new Miu Miu sunglasses ♥

Please, take me back now ♥

We seem to always end up in Hard Rock for the last dinner ♥

We had such good weather while in Paris! So hot that I "had to" buy a shirt, because I was dying in my warm clothes. I'm so in love with my new Virgen de Guadalupe shirt! ♥

Last but not least, I wanted to show you what I bought at Chanel: the classic Chanel flats in electric blue, my favorite color! I'm so over the moon happy ♥

Limitless

Every movie with Bradley Cooper is a must. Enough reasons to watch Limitless. I never heard of this movie before, but it's a good kept secret! The premise? Bradley meets a shady person from his past. Shady person got killed, but not before passing good old Bradley some pills. Not ordinary pills, but the "when I take this shit I'm genius" kinda pills. But obviously this isn't without risks and Bradley got chased all over the place. I just can't help myself to wonder: could this kind of pills really exist? Would you try it? I would wanna try it for sure!

Pompeii

Kit Harington. This is the only reason you need to watch this movie, trust me. I studied Latin in school and I'm a huge admirer of the Classical antiquity. After the disaster that was Troy (I'm sorry Brad), I'm always very sceptical when Hollywood decides to make a movie about this era. But I was actually pleasantly surprised. Every movie that cites Plinius kinda steals my heart. Although not everything in the movie is like Plinius described, it's pretty accurate. During the movie I couldn't remember where I knew the actress from, thank god for imdb! She's Emily Browning aka Babydoll from Sucker Punch! If you're into the whole ancient heroes kinda thing, you can't miss this one out!

Frida

What better day than Cinco de Mayo to talk about a movie that honors one of the most powerful mexicanas of all time?! It took me ages to watch the movie Frida, because I was so scared that Hollywood would crush the image that I have of the famous Frida Kahlo. But I was actually pleasantly surprised. Although this movie would be so much better if it was spoken in Spanish (imagine hearing Salma Hayek's sexy jarocho accent), Hollywood did a good job. Nobody could do Frida Kahlo more justice than Salma. I'm gonna say something totally superficial now, but I would commit a crime to own Frida Kahlo's wardrobe. Trendsetter much?!

American hustle

Ah, the genius that is Jennifer Lawrence! Talking about a girl crush! This movie is full of great actors. Big props to sexy Christian Bale, who's totally unrecognizable as a chubby and bald con man. And I'm finally fan of Amy Adams! I can't believe this is the first movie I've seen from her! Red heads are so va va voom. And oh yeah, this gotta be Bradley Cooper's first movie where he isn't sexy at all. Or is that just me?
But obviously, the star of the movie is my girl JLaw. How cool would it be to hang out with her? She seems so hilarious! A must see, it is!

Master of Commander

I don't care if Russel Crowe has some anger management issues. I'm a fan of his since Gladiator. But he really drawed my attention as John Nash in A Beautiful Mind. This is the first movie that made such a big impact on me. It takes a brilliant actor to portray such a complex character. For a while after that movie, I didn't really see amazing movies with him (shame on me, because there are!) until Robin Hood. Cate Blanchett and Russel Crowe are without a doubt my favorite Lady Marion and Robin Hood! I already knew what an amazing actor he was, but who knew he could sing?! There's no man out there who could do more justice to Miserables' iconic Monsieur Javert than he. Man, do I hate that character! You can see the crazyness and hate in his eyes, so amazing!

So when they showed Master of Commander on tv, I totally had to watch it. I remember that at the time, I couldn't make it to the movies to go watch this gem. And boy, did I miss out! It's an amazing movie that taught me a lot about piracy and shipping, so interesting. Although I'm sure that this movie is not a complete realistic depiction of the events, I really loved it a lot. I loved it so much because I'm such a sucker for heroism. And nobody does heroism better than Russel Crowe! I'm a fan, can you tell?!

Nosotros los Nobles

During one of my nights in with my favorite mexicanas, we watched the movie Nosotros los Nobles. This quickly became one of my favorite movies! It's a very typical story : a rich, snobbish family becomes poor and has to survive in the jungle called Distrito Federal. Although it seems like your typial bla movie, it's genius! And all thanks to the amazing Mexican actors. Karla Souza has quickly become my favorite Mexican leading lady (I'm sorry Salma!). And don't even get me started on Ianis Guerrero. When I first saw him on the screen, I almost fainted. His ressemblance to my ex Mexican lover is just eery.

I just love this movie so much because it makes me relive my life in Mexico : that sexy Mexican accent, the food... Even seeing those hidious busses makes me melancholical!

Welcome to the prole!
