The sad truth of social media

I have to admit that I'm a serious social media addict. But I think, and I hope, that I'm not as bad as the people in this video. Enjoy your life through your own eyes, and not through the camera of your cell phone. Meet people in real life, instead of what's apping them. Take beautiful pictures, but never lose the beauty of the moment. Never forget that real life is much more important than your social media life.

Yesterday it was my birthday. The best birthday gift are always the messages I get from my friends around the world, it makes my heart melt ♥

To celebrate my birthday I went dining with the person who I thank my life to, in my native city : with my mom in Bruges, that is. We went to De Florentijnen, and the food was absolutely delicious, total foodporn! ♥

Don't buy, adopt!

This makes me cry sad and happy tears at the same time. I can't understand how we let animals suffer like that. Dogs are supposed to be our best friends. So treat them as one! Although I never adopted an animal before, I'm seriously considering it after watching a video like this! It has to be so rewarding to learn an animal what love and a warm home is! ♥

I'm so excited to see this one! I think they couldn't have picked a better actress to portray Grace Kelly! Nicole Kidman is perfect in this role ♥

Hugo

This movie kinda gives me the Amelie Poulain vibe: the train station, the observation of people and their relations, the everyday life... So this movie couldn't go wrong for me. It was a pleasant surprise finding out that Sacha Baron Cohen also played in this movie. I knew it right away, that man controls his body as nobody else. He's such a grotesque actor, he acts with his whole body and that's truly a gift!

Hugo is a very original movie, I loved every second of the quest for the truth. And the whole automat/robot theme made me think about a litterature class I took at university about the robotization of the modern human being, so interesting! I also never heard about Georges Méliès before, but immediately after the movie, I did an extensive Wikipedia search on this great pioneer of film. I'm kinda digging the name Méliès as well. Lately I feel drawn to typical French names...

In short, this is an original, warm movie with great morality. A perfect weekend movie to watch with the whole family!

Bruce no more

Kris Jenner isn't a Jenner anymore. Although it's obvious for years now that Bruce and Kris can't stand eachother anymore, I'm shocked. This is the end of an era. It's kinda sad. Does this mean that Kris is getting her own spin off? I can see a potential title : Who becomes Kris' new man? Lord I hope not! Now she'll be out of control for sure. I just hope Bruce is staying a part of KUWTK...

P.S. Who wanna bet that Kris is changing her name into Kardashian again? :D

Since seeing Mirror, Mirror yesterday, I kinda became fascinated with Lily Collins. How totally breathtaking is she? Finally a young actress in Hollywood that dresses her age! She looks so darling cute here ♥

Snow

After Abduction, I was convinced that Lilly Collins was the worst actress ever. But I gave her another chance by watching Mirror, Mirror. I admit, I actually watched because of Julia Roberts and the extremely hot Armie Hammer, with whom I fell in love while watching Inception.

Actually, Lilly isn't that bad in this movie. She's such a gorgeous and sweet girl, the perfect Snow White! I particularly love her in the scenes with the 7 dwarfs! And it was so strange to see sweet Julia Roberts in the role as evil queen! She pulled it off like a pro, sarcasm suits her well :D ! I loved the movie very much : the breathtaking costumes, the truthful adaptation of the original fairytale, the stunning actors, the humor, ... This movie was simultaneously made with Kristen Stewart's Snow White and the Huntsman. While completely different, I like it as much as the latter.

The cherry on the cake? The completely ridiculous Bollywood inspired song at the end :D I don't know where that came from but I laughed my ass off :D
